These jackets have proven to be a favorite with thousands of motorcyclists. The textile mesh material has also proven some abrasion resistant, although not as good as perforated leather, but many have gained confidence that they'd do a good job in case of a fall. For crash protection, the FM-13 has areas with built-in armor pieces and also there are removable dual density armor pieces installed in pockets of the jacket liner
