Production Planning and Control (PPC) department receives a PO from Merchandizing department and plan for production. PPC department is responsible for at least 2 types of basic plannings:
1-      Materials management
2-      Times management.

1- Materials Management:
Materials requirements are assessed and hand over to stores and purchase department
2- Times Management:
Based on the available production capacities of the unit and current running orders PPC also plan for total production time, induction and offline dates for a particular order.

When an order is inducted in the production line it goes through a series of steps. In the following illustration we have given major steps invloved in the production of a leather gloves.
